Bobby Lee Whitted, 85, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at his home in Princeton.

He was born on September 25, 1932 in Clinton, IN to the late Charles and Oveda (Neidlinger) Whitted.

Bobby was a graduate of P.H.S. in 1950. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton. He was a foreman for Potter & Brumfield/Seimens, working there for 43 years before retirement. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge, member of Knights of Columbus, and a former City Councilman in the 1970’s, serving for 8 years. He enjoyed golf and Evansville Aces Basketball. He formerly coached Little League Baseball at the old St. Joe Field.  

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Whitted of Princeton; children, Barb Verley (James) of Oakland City, Mary Whitted of Princeton and Chuck Whitted (Robin) of Dayton, IN; and grandchildren, Michelle & Matthew Verley and Rory & Dakota Whitted.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Brian Emmick celebrant.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 pm on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. The Knights of Columbus will pray a Rosary on Thursday at 7 pm at the funeral home.
