From the Princeton, IN newspaper dated April 12, 1929.

Eliza C. ELLIOTT died very suddenly Thursday night, April 11, 1929, at 9:25 PM at her home in Patoka. Death was due to apoplexy. She was in good health Thursday morning, did the family laundry and prepared the evening meal as usual. She went out and sat down on the porch collapsed and died at 9:25 PM. Services were held on Sunday April 14, 1929 at the Patoka Methodist Church with burial in the Patoka cemetery. Surviving are four daughters: Luna Yunker of Cicero, IN, Nancy Austin, Molly Burton, Sarah Louise Shipman of Rock Island, IL; sons: William of Beloit, WI, Omer of Detroit, MI, John and Elmer of Patoka, IN. Also surviving are: one brother Thomas LYNCH of Patoka and one sister Mrs. Jesse (Elizabeth Ann) Byrd of Evansville, IN, forty-eight grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
