Patoka, Ind., Jan. 21.--(Special)

Thomas ELLIOTT, age 71, well known retired farmer, died at his home on north Main street, here Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church, with burial in the Patoka Cemetery.

Mr. ELLIOTT was born in 1857. He was united in marriage to Eliza LYNCH on May 10, 1878, and to this union twelve children were born, eight of whom survive.

Surviving to mourn the death of Mr. ELLIOTT, together with the widow, Eliza, are the following children Mrs. Winand (Luna) Yonker, of Cicero, Ind., Mrs. Clarence (Nancy) Austin of Somerville, Mrs. Carl (Molly) Burton, of Rock Island, IL; Mrs. Raymond (Sarah Louise) Shipman of Princeton, William ELLIOTT of Beloit, Wis, Omar of Detroit, Mich., John and Elmer ELLIOTT of Patoka.

Last May Mr. And Mrs. ELLIOTT celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home here.
