James A. Simpson, 46, of Princeton (formerly of Owensville) passed away on Saturday April 1, 2006 in Lynnville. He was born on December 31, 1959 in Gibson County. James worked at Midstate Rubber and also owned and operated Princeton Fitness with his wife Malinda. He also served in the Army and was a member of the Princeton Eagles. Jim was always more than ready to lend a helping hand and his perpetual positive outlook and laughter will be sorely missed by everyone.

He is preceded in death by his former wife, Vicky Simpson.

James is survived by his wife, Malinda Simpson of Princeton; parents, Nolan & Lois Simpson; grandmother, Marie Clevenger; a son, Brian Tharp; 4 stepdaughters, Carla & Crystal Burnes and Tabitha and Samantha DeVasier; 6 grandchildren; two sisters, Debbie Broshears and Brenda Starcher; three brothers, Mark, Randy and Steve Simpson; daughter-in-law, Tamara Tharp.

Funeral Services will be held at
1:00 PM on Wednesday April 5, 2006 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Craig Duke officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Francisco. Friends may call from 4 until 9 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
