State of Indiana, Gibson County, SS:                       Recorder’s office, November 24, 1845

I, John Hargrove, recorder for Gibson County, State of Indiana do certify that according to the receipts of the commissioner for the sale of the Seminary Township in said county now on file and of record in my office James Smith has made full payment for the West ½ of the north west quarter of section 33 of the Seminary Township in Gibson County containing 80 acres. Signed John Hargrove R.G.C. (SEAL). Recorded November 24, 1845 in Final Certificates of Seminary Lands, Volume “B” and page 35.
