(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Landon Kell, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with William McConnell, who on the 28th day of November 1855 executed a deed of conveyance to John Perkins ...for 100 acres land east side of Sect.20, T2S, R9W in Gibson County Indiana, and he knows that at
the time of executing said deed of conveyance the said William McConnell
 was an unmarried man, and lived as such until April 1864, at which time he intermarried with one Nancy A. Joins. Signed Landon Kell Subscribed and sworn to before me on this 29th day of March, 1926 signed Charles W. Benton, Notary Public.
