(Most of the documents were assembled in the 1920's, but often refer to events from much earlier.  There is a tremendous amount of detail referring to proof of family relationships.)

Landon Kell, being first duly sworn on his oath deposes and says, that he was personally acquainted with Nathaniel B. French who on the 17th day of April 1886, executed a deed of conveyance to Sallie A. Devin for the undivided 1/3 of lots # 65 and # 72 in the Original Plan of the Town (now city) of Princeton, in Gibson County, and he positively knows that at the time of executing said deed of conveyance the said Nathaniel B. French was a widower.... he being the surviving husband of Nancy Cordelia French. Signed Landon Kell. Subscribed and sworn to before me on this 29th day of October, 1926 signed Charles W.
