"This is our equivalent of the family bible. It was written in the early 1920's by Monroe Key (1841-1932) before my aunt Pat was born. Her name written in the same script but written with a different pen. Other names have been added by others at a later time. The later additions are obvious.

Monroe would have known his grandfather, William Key (1767-1855) and all of his aunts and uncles. Because of his detailed knowledge, I believe this to be a very accurate listing of our family."
