Sipple Harvey by W. D. Ritter

lived near Eel River, in Smith township. The place of his navtivity we do not know. He was one of those who marched in the squad of fourteen on Juy 4 ^th in Bloomifeld in the long ago. He was a very large man. Big "JIM" HARVEY, the famous flatboat pilot of old Point Commerce, was his son; also ANDERSON HARVEY, another great pilot of the olden flatboat times, was a farmer.
