Bloomfield Church of Christ

Located at Spring & Lewis. It had its beginning in 1940 when the Bloomignton & Lyons churches established the present congergations. Evagelist A. W. Harvey of Bloomington held the first meetings at a building on the corner of Spring & Semiary. In 1949 the brick building was built one block west of the old building. In 1957 additional classrooms was provided by completing and enlarging the basement. The building was completely refurbished in 1958 by the Faucett-Umphery Corporation to provide large seating capacity. There were previous small congerations during 1917-1920 and a short period in 1930 but failed to continue because of membership moving out of town.
