WHO ARE WE?

This county is a part of the INGenWeb Project, which with the other state projects, forms The USGenWeb Project.

We are a group of volunteers working together to provide free genealogy websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. This Project is non-commercial and fully committed to free genealogy access for everyone. It is an organization of volunteers working for the free access of public and public domain records used in genalogical research.

The USGenWeb Project also sponsors important Special Projects at the national level.

All of the volunteers who make up the InGenWeb and the USGenWeb Project are very proud of this endeavor and hope that you will find their hard work both beneficial and rewarding. Thank you for visiting!

How This All Began
In June, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Indiana Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Indiana, where collected databases would be stored. At the same time, volunteers were found who were willing to coordinate the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of the county web pages.
