I am doing genealogy on the Willis Barton family of Greene County. I am trying to prove without a doubt that Frusannah Barton was the daughter of Willis and his wife Christena. Family stories have Frusanna’s parents as Aaron and Betsy Barton but everything I have found point to Willis and Christena. While looking at the Will section of this site I discovered John Barton’s will under Will Abstracts Of Greene County Indiana 1823-1904 . Listed as a sister is Rachel Righsill. Frusannah married Daniel Reitzel (Wrightsil) in Greene county and had one child Rachel. I believe Frusannah was John’s sister. Frusannah died six months after Rachel was born so I am thinking John may have listed her daughter in his will. I hope this makes sense. I am so excited, this is the first “documented “ information linking Frusannah to Willis and Christena.

My question is if there is anyone who can transcribed whatever remains of this will? This may be the only way I can prove this. Thanks so much Margaret Rothrock

I am looking for more information re FRANCIS LANG and his wife SUSANNAH. I know where he is buried and have been there. Is his wife buried at the same place near Sharkey Cemetery on private land? FRANCIS also had other children when he applied for his pension and am trying to locate them as well. Nehmiah, Sarah, Nancy, James and Stansbury. I know that Stansbury moved back to Floyd County but am not sure what happened to the others. I cannot locate any more information re FRANCIS, who were his parents, where was he born, was he married prior to REBEKAH LINDER in Rockingham County, NC? Any information would be appreciated. I am trying to find ANY information on my grandmother's Cullison family. She was a Meredith/Purdy on her mother's side. Her daddy was a Joseph Cullison. Her mother, Mary, was first married to a Carmichael and I think married Joseph on June 25, 1888. According to the 1900 census they had a Minnie Cullison living in their home. We have never heard of Minnie. My Grandmother never mentioned a Minnie. I can find info on a few Joseph Cullisons but the data on them doesn't fit our Joseph. I believe that he is a part of the move from Ohio that most of my family came from...Ray, Purdy, Meredith, Cullison. We know all of the family from my grandmother's sister Olive. Jacob never married. Her 2 half siblings are Carmichaels and we know about them. LaDonna Cook

Hi, I am looking for someone who can do some courthouse lookups for me I will pay for travel expenses and material I get. I am trying to identify the wife of my gr gr gr grandfather John Freeman who was in Greene County prior to 1850 but I would be interested in anything related to him. He was born circa 1872 in North Carolina. Some of his children were: Rebecca, Lemons,Ransom,James, Samuel, William, John Jr,Ruth, Minas, Mark and Anderson.

Could you check your probate or will books for a John Freeman or Anna Freeman? [Note the indexes are her one site] This would have occurred between 1853 and 1870. Thanks I really appreciate any help, I have been struggling with this man for a long long time. Thanks for listening! Tricia Frame

I want to thank you very much for having an article about Hardy Sparks in Indiana UsGenWeb. It is helpful. I appreciate it. He was my great great grandpa Calvin Sparks's father. Calvin came from Indiana and is buried in Nebraska.

I am working on my Family (Sparks) Tree. I am looking for Hardy's grave/tombstone. The article says that Hardy Sparks is buried in Sparks Cemetery on the Greene and Monroe County line.  I have used FindaGrave.com for my research. I found that there has no names of the people who buried in the Sparks Cemetery. The map/satellite on the profile of the FindaGrave.com has shown that there has about 50 tombstones on the Sparks Cemetery.

Where can I get the information about Sparks Cemetery? Dorothy Sparks

My Wrights were William Wright, son of Zadock and Martha Meade Wright, born 25 Mar 1762 in Culpepper County PA. Moved to Ohio abt 1809 and then to Brown county IN. Married with the Hubers abt 1881 in Spencer and lived in Jordan Village area.

I am trying to fill in some gaps on my Thomas, Huber and Wright family histories. What I need now is the parents of Sarah A. Wright. She died 25 Aug 1900 in Madison Twp. She was born in Sep 1857 in Indiana. She married James Perry Thomas on 8 Sep 1878 in Bloomfield. Their children were Ruba Lenora, Carrie, Rolla Franklin, Ross, Harve, Jessie May and Oral. All born in Greene County. James Perry Thomas was born 28 Sep 1850 and died 20 Dec 1928 in Daviess Co. He was the son of Nathan Thomas and Elizabeth Lillie. Nathan and Elizabeth are buried in the Calvin Cemetery about 1 1/2 miles East of Newberry. Would you be interested in a copy of my family tree?

Hope you can help me on the parents of Sarah. I think it was Jordon the blacksmith, but not sure. James Perry Thomas was my great-grandfather. I have 6 Sarah A Wrights in that area in that time frame. Will be glad to pay a reasonable fee for this information - William Thomas Oye

Our grandmother stated she was born in Marco IN on March 11,1885. Her parents were Matthew Fuller and Martha(Haynes) Fuller. Can you tell me how I can find out any information on this.Connie Edgerly

I would like to find the marriage record of my g-grandparents, William Graham and Nancy Jane Inlow or Enlow. I would like also to determine Nancy Jane's parents.

In 1850 Martin Co. In. census, William was living with parents, John Jr. and Lydia Bough Graham.

In 1860 Greene Co. In. census, John is missing, apparently died or abandoned family, William was still living with mother, Lydia and siblings.

In 1870 Greene Co. In census., William and wife, Nancy Jane are living in Newberry, In.

In 1880 William and Nancy Jane had moved to Ozark Co. Mo. and listed in census there.

Can you help or recommend someone that can find their marriage record and also determine the parents of Nancy Jane Inlow, Enlow ? - Sincerely,James Shelton
