He died Sep 1985 in Linton, Greene, Indiana from Congestive Heat Failure, Arteriosclerotic Cardiovscular Disease and was buried10 30 Sep 1985 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Richland Twp., Greene, Indiana. son of Charles Sigel Emery and Minerva Jane Hardesty.

Clarence married 1st Effie Ellen Edington daughter of Thomas Leonard Edington and Martha Ann Williams, on 19 Feb 1916 in , Greene, Indiana. Effie was born 3 Dec 1889 in , Greene, Indiana. She died 26 May 1944 in Linton, Greene, Indiana and was buried 29 May 1944 in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Richland Twp., Greene, Indiana.

Clarence also married 2nd Elsie Schwartz, daughter of Gideon Schwartz and Elizabeth Brines, on 20 Dec 1945 in Burris Chapel Parsonage, , Greene, Indiana. The marriage ended in divorce. Elsie was born 14 Sep 1888 in Sumner, , Illinois. She died 9 May 1970 in Linton, Greene, Indiana. Elsie married 1st Albert Marquart
