Nelson Abram Howell Cramer Family Group Sheet

I am trying to locate the burial site of Nelson Abram Howell Cramer and his wife Caroline Jane Cramer. (mostly know as Jane). Nelson died 10 Jan 1898, she after 1900.

I find evidence of them living with their children in Greene Co, Wash Twsp. They were in the Morgan Co census 1860-1870 and she appears in the 1900 census in Greene Co. I have visited several cemeteries in the county and reviewed the data bases on-line with no luck.

They had a son named Arch (Marco Cemetery) and a daughter Martha Belle Cramer (m. John B.) Clark. (Dog Island Cem) Could you check your cemetery census books for their name please - Tim Burk

"From Brooklyn -- A.S. Cramer, one of Clay Township's best citizens, committed suicide by hanging, on last Saturday morning. He leaves a wife and 5 or 6 children." "Hanged Himself -- Last Saturday morning, at an early hour, A.S. Cramer, a well known and highly respected citizen of Clay Township, [Morgan] County, arose and went to his barn, as was his custom, to feed his stock. Shortly afterwards, his son went to the barn and was horrified to see his father hanging by the neck dead. The coroner was notified, and an inquest was held. Before hanging himself, he wrote a few words on a blank leaf of an almanac. From this, it was very plain that he was insane on the subject of religion. He owned a well stocked farm about 2 miles East of Centerton and about the same distance South of Brooklyn." : Martinsville Republican, March 22, 1883

Eli Nelson Cramer who found him and cut him down, this one of the few times I ever seen Fad (Earl Cramer) with tears in his eyes, when he told me about this and what it did to "Poppy" I knew if I thought about it that it would come to me. Frank 1932 living in New Maysville IN
