1 Charles Ellingsworth b. 1814 in KY or IN. He married Candace/Candasa/Candis/Kansas/Arkansas R. Wood --I am not kidding about the different spellings for her name-- on April 18, 1839 in Greene Cty., IN. She was b. abt 1824 in NC--most probably--or in KY.

June 19, 1865 in Vigo Cty., IN. They married March 28, 1861 in Greene Cty., IN and had 1 child, Joseph Milton Gentry b. Oct. 14, 1865. 2. Ezekiel Riley Rogers on March 31, 1868 in Douglas Cty., Omaha, NE. No issue. They divorced on Oct. 4, 1902, after he had been gone from her home since about 1898 or 1899. He ran away with her youngest sister, Letitia Isabelle Ellingsworth Earlywine. 3. William K. Worth on Oct. 4, 1902 in Greene Cty., IN--note that this marriage was the same day as her divorce from husband number 2. He d. Dec. 1, 1903. No issue.

2 Permelia Martha Ellingsworth abt 1842 in IN--prob. in Greene Cty. and d. Nov. 10, 1918 at 837 N. Center Street, Terre Haute, IN. This was the house that belonged to her daughter, Cordelia Winklepleck. Cordelia and her husband were foster parents to my grandfather, Charles William Eichelberger. Will see more of this later. Permelia married William F. Smith of OH who d. bef. 1918. They married on July 5, 1963. We know that one of their dau. is Cordelia Martha Smith b. Jan. 1868.

MRS. MARTHA SMITH, 77 years old, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha Wimplepeck (Winklepleck), 829 North Center Street. She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Wimplepeck and Mrs. Martha Parsons; one son, Charles Smith; one sister, Mrs. Belle Duncan, of Seelyville; one brother, Lint Ellingsworth of Greenville, Illinois; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday at the residence, 829 North Center Street. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. --this obit was wrong in the spellings of peoples name, ie Mrs. Belle Duncan was Mrs. Belle Junkins and Mrs. Wimplepeck was probably Mrs. Cordelia Winklepleck, plus the residence where she died and where the funeral was to be held were different. The death certificate is more accurate.

Obituary:
Terre Haute Tribune, Monday, Dec. 15, 1913, p. 2 Washington Ellingsworth, aged 65, died at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning at his home in Taylorville, and the body was brought to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Shannon Knowles, 611 South Fourth Street, from where the funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Highland Lawn cemetery. Another daughter, Mrs. Ida Sowers, of near Chicago, his wife, Sarah, and three sons, Benjamin, Mahlon and Samuel Ellingsworth of Terre Haute; three sisters, Mrs. Rebeca Rogers, and Mrs. Nellie Smith, of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Belle Jenkens of Seelyville, and one brother, Littleton Ellingsworth, are the survivors. The deceased was a member of the First Baptist church of this city.

2 Letitia/Lutitia Isabelle--aka Belle--Ellingsworth b. May 29, 1859 in Bowling Greene, Greene Cty., IN and d. June 17, 1939 in Seelyville, Lost Creek Township, IN. She married twice, but lived with a lover for several years, too. Husband 1. John Milton Earlywine on Dec. 15, 1877 in Vigo Cty., IN by JP. He was b. abt 1850 in KY.

Their children were:

Mr. Earlywine received a divorce from Belle on Feb. 14, 1901 from Vigo Co. courts.

Belle's lover from abt 1899 through July 18, 1903---Ezekiel Riley Rogers. He was b. Feb. 1846 in Greene Cty., IN and d. July 18, 1903 in either IA or MO. They had one child born out of wedlock:
3 Riley Victoria Rogers. There doesn't seem to be a birth record, but behind a tintype of E. R. Rogers is a slip of handwritten paper stating that Riley Victoria was his daughter and also gave his Civil War unit. Riley Victoria was b. May 18, 1901 in prob. AR or MO. She died July 9, 1990 in Bremen, IN. She married Charles William Eichelberger on Aug. 8, 1933 in Brazil, Clay Cty., IN. He was b. Oct 22, 1896 in IN and d. Mar. 10, 1977 in Bremen, IN, Marshall Cty. As noted above, he was a foster child of Riley Victoria's cousin Cordelia Smith Winklepleck.

Riley Victoria Rogers. was b. May 18, 1901 in prob. AR or MO. She died July 9, 1990 in Bremen, IN. She married Charles William Eichelberger on Aug. 8, 1933 in Brazil, Clay Cty., IN. He was b. Oct 22, 1896 in IN and d. Mar. 10, 1977 in Bremen, IN, Marshall Cty. As noted above, he was a foster child of Riley Victoria's cousin Cordelia Smith Winklepleck.

4 William Franklin Eichelberger b. and d. 1933 or 1934 4 James Richard Eichelberger He married twice to 1. Lorraine May Greenbaum on Dec. 24, 1960 in Ridgewood, NJ. She was b. Oct. 12, 1949 in Bronx, NY and d. Aug. 24, 1975.

Mrs. Letitia Isabelle Junkins, 76 years old, died at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night at her home in Seelyville. She is survived by the husband, George Junkins; one daughter, Mrs. Riley Eichelberger; four sons, William, Ervin, Leslie, and Emmitt Earlywine; nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body was taken to the J. N. Hickman funeral home and was returned Sunday evening to the residence in Seelyville. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuedsay afternoon at the residence, with burial in Highland Lawn cemetery.

Junkins (Jenkins), George, age 42, Married once, for 7 years to Belle, born in Indiana, Father born in Pennsylvania, Mother born in Indiana, occupation as a miner.

Jenkins, Belle, age 47, married twice, for 7 years to George, 5 live children, born in Indiana, Father born in Virginia, Mother born in Kentucky.

Earlywine, Emmet, stepson, age 18, gorn in Indiana, as well as both parents.

Earlywine, Riley Victoria, stepdaughter, age 8, born in Indiana?, as well as both parents. Again, Riley Victoria used the Earlywine name throughout her life as her maiden name, but wasn't really born of John Milton Earlywine.

Husband 2. for Belle--George W. Junkins on Nov. 11, 1903 in Clay Cty., IN. He was b. Feb. 22, 1869 in IN and d. Oct. 9, 1953 in Terre Haute, IN at the Kesler Nursing Home at 724 N. 8th Street.

And that is it for the Ellingsworth family from Greene cty., IN. Now, there
is a possibility that there are more family members in Greene Cty., but I need to do further research. For the above info, I only have the following documents---
