In July 1902, I entered the Lucy Nubb HAYES National Training School for Nurses, Missionaries & Deaconesses. Graduated from Sibley Hospital in that institution in 1905. Have held executive positions in the following hospitals: Wesley Memorial Hosp., Atlanta, GA Have also spent several years in private duty nursing - my work has been a source of never ending pleasure to me & I regret that the time has come for retirement. Some way I feel my life has not been in vain. M. Grismore This is a handwritten letter of Margaret (Conway) Grismore's last wishes. It was written sometime after August 1934 and before December 1934. To whom it may concern- From: Sue Buskirk Wilcox THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, BLOOMFIELD, Greene County, Indiana, Friday, December 13, 1901, Volume XXVI, Number 3, Page 1, Column 2, Deaths. Death came to the relief of one who had been a long sufferer Belton D. GRISMORE last Friday morning. For years he had been afflicted with a disease of the throat, which gradually grew more serious, robbing him of his voice, and finally terminated in death. Not until last fall did he cease to go about as usual, and only a few weeks ago he was able to come downtown. He was raised in BLOOMFIELD, and had lived here the greater part of his life, and everybody knew 'Belty' as a jolly good-natured fellow, who looked on the bright side and let the cares go by. He was fond of sports - especially hunting and fishing - and of outdoor life in general. At the time of his death he was thirty-seven years, nine months and twelve days old, having been born February 12, 1864. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church Sunday by the Rev. H. H. ALLEN, after which the remains were laid to rest in the BLOOMFIELD cemetery. A widow, a mother, and other relatives are left to mourn, and with them the community sympathizes. Note: The Above Buskirk's mentioned are descendants of James and Nancy (Ingrum) Vandeventer from the manuscript as found in the "Absolum Vandeventer & His Descendants; Vandeventer's of Clay, Owen, Greene, Monroe and Morgan counties, Indiana" By Jusih E.
