About seventy-five relatives and friends
gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. A. Henry, Sunday, to
celebrate the seventieth birthday of Mr. Henry.
A bountiful dinner was served, cafeteria style, a huge angel food cake with
seventy candles being the center of attraction.
Altogether, a most enjoyable day was
spent. All of Mr. Henry’s children were present, with the
exception of one son, Holbert Henry, wife and daughter, who
reside at Perrytown, Texas. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Keen; Mrs. and Mrs. Earl Cline and son, Robert, of
Evansville; Emmett Cline, wife and family; Mr. and Mrs. Dannie
Cline and two sons, Jeff Fields and small daughter, Miss Beulah
Cline; Roy Duffey and three friends, all of Linton; Mr. and Mrs.
Othnell Gilliland and daughter, Beatrice, of Solsberry; Mrs.
Sallie Bough; Theodore Rush and son, Theo, of Oolite; Mrs.
Clarence Carmichael and sons, Forest, Floyd and Lloyd; Mrs. Edith
Stone and two children, Francis Carmichael, wife and two
children, Dan Hall, Mrs. Amy Terrell and daughters, Marjorie,
Geneva and Madeline, and John Branstetter, all of Bloomfield; Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Emery and two grandchildren; Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Emery and two children; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry and Ross

Celebrates 73rd
Anniversary of Thomas A. Henry – Four Great-grandchildren,
Fourteen Grandchildren, Three Sons, Daughters In Attendance.
A large crowd
of relatives and friends gathered at the Bloomfield city park
Sunday at noon and celebrated the seventy-third birthday of
Thomas A. Henry, with a basket dinner. A long table was laden
with delicious food, and a most enjoyable day was spent. Mr.
Henry’s birthday dinners became an annual affair several
years ago and the delightful fall weather added much to the
enjoyment of the occasion.
Those who
attended were Mrs. Elizabeth Ellison, Mrs. Paul Arthur and son
Bobby of Terre Haute, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lisman of Dugger, Mr. and
Mrs. Othnell Gilliland, George and Theodore Rush, Mrs. Clyde
Johnson, Miss Erma Holk, and Mr. and Mrs. Gardner of Solsberry;
Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Cline, Mr. and Mrs. Lem Cline, Miss Beulah
Cline, Roy Duffey and John D. Laughlin, all of near Linton; Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Carmichael and sons, Forest, Lloyd and Floyd.

Among the
guests were the three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Henry, three
daughters, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren,
and an aged uncle, Tucker Axe of Newberry, the last of his family.
