John W. BAYS“John W. Bays Dies Following Long Illness.” John W. BAYS died yesterday afternoon about 1:30 o’clock at his home in Center Township following a lingering illness of several months. Mr. BAYS was a prominent Center Township farmer, having lived in that township his entire life. He was born January 15, 1869, the son of Wiley and Permelia (CLEVER) BAYS. He is survived by the wife, Alice (HOLTSCLAW) BAYS; three children, Dennie BAYS, Mrs. Barge CROWE, and Mrs. Walter GOODWIN, all of Center Township. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ollie WATSON of Linton and Mrs. B. F. HOLTSCLAW of Center Township. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the home with burial in the Bingham Cemetery. Lester Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
