Abraham BOLTZ
1830PA-1908


Abraham BOLTZ was born in Middletown, {Dauphin County,} Pennsylvania, November 9, 1830 and died November 7, 1908; age 77 years, 11 months and 28 days. He had expressed a desire to live to reach his next birthday which was within two days of his death. He moved from Pennsylvania to this state and settled near Bloomfield in the year 1854, where he has resided since.

To his marriage to Katy Ann BORTER was born two sons and two daughters of which only the two sons survive. The mother passed away February 23, 1862. His second marriage was to Charlottie C. {TIMMONS} YOUNG, April 21, 1864, to which union was born three daughters seven sons, of which five of the sons have passed away.

The deceased was a true, dutiful and loving husband and father and was loved and respected by all who knew him. In his young days he joined the United Brethren Church in Pennsylvania and in 1864 he joined the church at Allen Chapel, near Bloomfield.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Henry FLORY of the Church of God, November 9, and the interment was made in the {Union} Bethel church yard.
