James CHANEY

DEATH'S HARVEST CHANEY

James CHANEY, a pioneer citizen of Mineral, and a soldier of the Civil war, died of paralysis at his home east of Mineral Wednesday. He was eighty-four years old, and had been active in his daily duties until a week ago, when his feeble condition developed into paralysis.

He was a member of the M. E. church and had attended the annual Sunday school picnics as Mineral for sixty-two years.

Funeral services were conducted today at 2:30 p.m., by the Rev. E. E. ALDRICH in the Mineral M. E. church.
