Elbert H. Chipman


Elbert H. Chipman, 92, of Robinson, Ill., died Wednesday at 8:22 p.m. in Craford County Convalescent Center in Robinson.

Born Feb. 28, 1898, in Bloomfield, he was the son of Clarence and Alice Crites Chipman.

He was a retired CIPS company worker

He is survivied by three daughters, Kathryn Marie Walters of Robinson, Ill. Alice Wojcik of Cohaset, Minn., and Wanda Holmes of Aborn, Ill.; one brother Gaylord and Ruth Chipman of Linton; one sister, Sylvia Webster of Oaktown; six grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Tally in 1925, his second wife Cecil Blanche Groomer in 1975, an infant son and one sister, Gladys Collison.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, Ill., with the Rev. Carl Hall officiating. Burial was in the Robinson New Cemetery. 1- 2 Jul. 1990 Bloomfield News.
