Sheldon "Bo" DoveSheldon "Bo" Dove, 69, of Jasonville, died Friday at his residence. Born May 10, 1922 in Burns City, he was the son of Edgar and Rebecca (Ledgerwood) Dove. He was a retired railroad engineer with the Milwaukee Railroad where he worked for 42 years. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member and past commander of Jasonville American Legion Post 172 and past vice commander of District 7. Surviviors include his wife, Dorothy (Edmondson) Dove; two daughters Pat Hayes of Jasonville, and Sue Preecs of Danville; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sergeant Dove in 1978 and Homer Dove in 1968 and his parents. Services were 2:30 p.m. Saturday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. Burial was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland where military graveside rites were conducted by Jasonville American legion Post 172 - 3 Oct 1991 Bloomfield News |
