James G. Dowden

James G. Dowden, 69, Oakland City, died, Sunday, Feb 28, at With Regional Hospital in Oakland City.

He was born Aug 14, 1929 in Scoltand.

He was an electrican at PSI for [sic before] retiring in 1992 with 43 1/2 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Dowden; so sons, Rick Dowden of Mooresville and Todd Dowden of Oakland City; one daughter, Tammy Dowden of Somerville; four sisters, Lois Boruff and Bonnie Schaad, both of Bloomfield, Margie Overton on Odon and Thelma Daughtery of Melburne, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Services were 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial was in Montgomery Cemetery. 4 Mar. 1999 Bloomfield News.
