Lillie M. Edwards

Mrs. Lillie M. EDWARDS, 79, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at her residence on Ind. 117, southeast of Culver, following an extended illness.

Born Nov. 19, 1888, near Swiss [Switz)City in Green [Greene] county, Ind., she was the daughter of Daniel and Rose GREY McBRIDE. Her marriage was June 6, 1917, in Indianapolis, to Chester EDWARDS, who died July 23, 1946. Mrs. Edwards was a resident of the Culver area for 50 years.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Nancy McNEAL, South Bend; Mrs. Ernest (Carol) MITCHELL, Lafayette; Mrs. Delore (Martha) DeMIKE, Edwardsburg, Mich., and Miss Carmen EDWARDS, at home; six grandchildren, and one sister, Mayme McBRIDE, Freedom, Ind. One son, Joseph EDWARDS, preceded in death.

Private services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. The Rev. Ellsworth ROUTSON will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joe Valley Memorial Park cemetery at South Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
