She was married on May 6, 1883 to William GARDNER, of Boone county, and to this union were born five children, one of whom died in childhood. The four living are Fred GARDNER, of Bedford; Mrs. Jesse CRAIG and Vernon L. GARDNER, of Springville, and Mrs. W. J. HAMMOND, of Clinton. She also leaves six granddaughters and two grandsons, eight in all. She also leaves four brothers and one sister, who reside at Jamestown, and all of the above were present at her funeral.

Her first husband, died Jan 5, 1915, and on February 28, 1917, she was again married to J. E. WALTON, of Koleen, who survives her.

She was an active member of the M. E. church for a number of years and died in the full hope of a blessed immortality.

Mother, we shall be lonesome without thee, but we hope to meet in a world where there is no tears or parting.

The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Quincy FERGUSON, of Kirby, at Koleen. The burial was in the cemetery at Springville.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the kind friends and neighbors who assisted us in many ways during the last illness and after the death of our beloved wife, mother and sister.
J. E. WALTON.
