Emery Grimes

Emery Grimes, 86, formerly from Owensburg, died Friday morning at his home near Nashville.

He was born near Hutchinson, Kan., but came to Indiana as a young man and worked for Krogers in New Castle as a meatcutter for nearly 50 years.

He is survived by his sister,Mary Young with whom he lives; grandsons, Dr. Charles McCalla and Emery Roy McCalla; granddaughters, Dr. Marsue McCalla Jackson and Pamela Hitchler new Owensburg and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, parents and some sisters.

He was a member of Bethel Christain Church near Owensburg.

There were no calling hours or services. Cremation was handled by Myers Funeral Home at Columbus.
