Virginia D. GrissomVirginia D. Grissom, 70, Beford, died Sunday, March 2, at her residence. Born April 17, 1926, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Talmage and Lula (Stewart) Donica. - - She was a 33 year employee of RCA, and a member of the First Church of God, and the Jasmine Lake Baptist Church in Port Richey, Fla. Surviviors include eight daughters, Cathy Johnson, Linda Gregory, Rita Grissom and Jance Lane, all of Bedford, Betty Grissom and Dora Bex, both of Williams; Twila Wease of Loogootee and Sandra Hudson of Owensburg; four sons, Larry Lee and Terry Lee, both of Bedford, Clifford Grissom of Williams and Tony Grissom of Sportsylvania, Va.; two sisters, Mae Moore of Bedford and Mabel Sowder of Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first hisband, George Lee Jr., in 1949; her second husband, Harold Grissom in 1996; one sister, Violet Donica; two brothers, Ralph Donica and Vestel Donica and four grandchildren. Services were 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor Roland Holtsclaw officiating. Burial was at New Union Cemetery. 6 Mar. 1997 Bloomfield News. |
