Dorothy A. Groomer


Dorothy A. Groomer, 70 of Bloomfield, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at Bloomington Hospital.

Born Dec. 3, 1922, in Lawrence County she waw the daughter of Elza and Alice (Conner) Sullivan.

She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church.

Survivior include her husband, Everett Groomer; five daughters, WIlma Hackler of Mitchell, Betty Workman of Bloomfield, Donna Workman of Springville, Brenda Manion of Beford and Barbara Epeards of Solsberry; one son, Roger Dale Groomer of Bloomfield; three sisters, Phyllis Workman and Jean Groomer, both of Bloomfield and Agnes Byers of Bloomington; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters.

Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church with Brother Lebert Vandeventer officiating. Burial was in Solsberry Cemetery. 2 Sep. 1993 Bloomfield News
