Venita O. Hacker


Venita O. Hacker, 73, of Bloomfield, died 3:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 at Bloomington Convalescent Center.

Born Marc 22, 1919 in Koleen she was the daughter of Arlo and Elsie (Wright) George.

She worked on an assembly line at RCA in Bloomington retitiring in 1979. Survivors include her husband, Merill Hacker; two sons, Gary R. Gilmore of Bloomfield and Carlos L. (Butch) Gilmore of Rose Hill, Ill.; four step-daughters, Dorothy Alice Moyer of Fishers, Celia Hulen and Teresa Hacker, both of Bloomington and Tammy Gutierrez of Miami, Fal.; two step-sons, John Hacker and Steve Hacker, both of Bloomington; osne brother Samuel George of Bloomfield; two sisters, Maxine Stultz of Danville, Ill. and Ernestine Sherfield of Spencer; three grandsons and ine ste-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl R. Gilmore, 1965; one brother, James George; one sister Roselyn Calvert and parents. - - Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at Jenkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Youngblood officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. 11 Feb. 1993 Bloomfield News
