Alice E. HardistyAlice E. Hardisty, 77, Linton, died at 3:36 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13 at Greene County General Hospital. Born June 3, 1916 in Noblesville, she was the daughter of Howard and Cora (Hopkins) Spurgeon She had been a clerkat JC Penny in Linton for 17 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Linton and Columbian Chapter 140 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include to sons Bob Hardisty and Jerry Hardisty, both of Linton; one daughter, WIlma Hamilton of Linton; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hardisty, March 5, 1976; two brothers and two sisters Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday Aug. 14 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel witht the Rev. Kenneth Adams officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery Bloomfield News |
