William J. HarperWilliam J. Harper, 79, of Bloomington, died Sunday Oct. 25 at Bloomington Hospital Born Aug. 3, 1913, in Greene county, he was the son of Harrison Harper. He was operatio superintenent for Ralph Rogers and a member of Operating Engineers Local 841. Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Evans) Harper; four sons: James Harper of Greene county, Billy Harper of Bloomington, Danny Haprer of Ellettsville and Billy Loyd of Arizona; two daughters: Shirley Willis of Bloomington and Rita Porter of ELlettsville; one stepson, Walter Huff of Califonria; three sisters: Nancy Ferguson, Ruth Kerr and Ethel Palmeter, all of Bloomington; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel (SParks) Harper; one daughter Sandra Rammage; two sons: Tony Harper and Donallad Deckard; two brothers: John Harper and Hubert Harper and three sisters: Mary Morrison, Luris SKinner and ROda Hendricks. Services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with the Rev. Kiah Rayl officiating. Burial was at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Bloomfield News 29 Oct 1992 |
