Herbert D. Harrah



Herbert D. Harrah, 59 Venice, Fla., died Sunday, Mary 15, in Venice.

Born July 27, 1934 in Bloomfield, her as a personnel manager for various companies and had been a school teacher and basketball coach in Indiana. He was a graduate of the University of Lousiville, Ky. and in his senoir year he played on the winning NIT basketball team. He received a Master's degree from Ball State University in Muncie. He was a avid golf player and member of the Lake Venice Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Harrah; four daughters, Debra Harrah of Sheridan, Mich., Donna Schwarm of Vandalia, Ill., Denise Burgess of San Diego, Calif.; and Doris Dahl of Champaign, Ill.; one sister, Betty Harrah of Munice; two brothers, Thomas Harrah of Drummond Island, Mich., and WIlliam Harrah of Bloomington and nie grandchildren.

Memorial services were 3 p.m. Wedensday, May 18, at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Venice Chapel.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5927 S. Beneva Rd., Sarasota, Fl. 34238.
