Delbert L. HartDelbert L. Hart, 83 of Clay City, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Born May 7, 1912, in Linton, he was the son of Walter and Rebecca (Haeman) Hart. A coal miner, he retired from Hesco Mine. Survivors include two sons, Stanley Hart of Clay CIty and Jerry Hart of Spencer; two sisters, Thelma Michaels of Mississippi and Maxine Ingerson of Terre Haute; two brothers, Norman Hart and Bob Hart, both of Washington state; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death bu his wife, Geneva Hart in 1993; one son, Dean Hart; one daughter, Nancy Hart; one sister, Martha Bovenschen; one brother, Glenn Hart and one grandson. Services were 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Schoppenhorst-Slack Funeral Home in Clay City with Brother Ray Deeter officiating. Burial was at Beech Cemetery near Clay City. Bloomfield, News 12 Oct 1985 |
