DEATH'S HARVEST
JOHNSON

Mrs. Mary JOHNSON died at her home one mile south of Solsberry, Ind., Sunday April 22, at 1 p.m., after a short illness caused by a fall when she suffered a fractured hip about two weeks before her death.

Her maiden name was Mary POOL, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth POOL, of Bellmont County, Ohio.

Deceased was born in Ohio, May 5, 1837, and was married to John H. JOHNSON, who preceded her eight years, in January 1857, and removed to Greene County the following June and settled on a farm near Solsberry and has lived on the same form or near the same, for eighty-five years.

She was converted and united with the M. E. church when thirteen years old and renewed her church relations at Solsberry.

She was the mother of eight children, viz.: Legrand, near Kirksville, Ind., Randolph F., deceased, John R., Solsberry, Alice Julia WALKER, of Palestine, Ill., James Joseph, of Solsberry, Frances Edmund, near the old home, Nettie FODDERILL, of Worthington, and Rutherford B., at the old home.

Besides the above named children she leaves twenty-six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Joseph POOL, of Bloomington, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Catherine HALL, of Adrian, Ill., to mourn their loss.

By request of the deceased the choir sand the song, 'Jesus Savior, Pilot Me' at the services held at her home Monday, April 23, conducted by W. J. ELLIS.
