William JOHNSON

William JOHNSON was born in Greene county, Penn., April 3, 1816.

He was married to Maria Jane MOORE in 1844. Nine children blessed this union, all of whom are living except one.

He was converted at a camp meeting while yet a young man. He joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church a Senecaville, Ohio, and remained a member of this church for some years. He then joined the Wesleyan Methodist church of which he remained a member until he moved to Indiana, when he joined the Congregational church at Solsberry.

He died March 14, 1894, aged seventy-seven years, eleven months and eleven days. This winter he had frequently spoken to his aged companion of death, and told her that if he should drop off, all was well. He had no fears.

He leaves a wife and several children, with a host of friends, to mourn his death.
