Marion Livingston



Marion Livingston, 80 years old, 4 times wounded while fighting for the Union in the Civil War, died at 1:20 o'clock Thursday afternoon while at home on the East Side of town.

The funeral will be at 11:00 Saturday at the residence of Rev. A. M. Hootman, pastor of the Christian Church, who will officiate at the request of the deceased. This will be the new minister's first funeral in Worthington.

Mr. Livingston was born in Greene County the son of Henry Livingston. He has been a resident of Greene County practically all his life.

Most of his work was for railroad companies.

During the war he was captured be [by] the Confederates after his horse was wounded. He was incarcerated in Anderson prison for 6 months before being exchanged.

Mr. Livingston was married 3 times and is survived by his widow, 5 sons Ed of Bruceville, John of Washington, William of Dugger, Walter of Worthington and James of Terre Haute, and 2 daughters Mrs. Grace Baker of Worthington, and Mrs. Margaret Miller of Indianapolis.
