Mrs. Olevie McCulloughMrs. Olevie McCullough, 70, died at 5:30 a.m. today in the Bloomington hospital. She suffered a broken hip more than a month ago at her home 521 West Smith and was removed to the hospital at the time. Pneumonia caused her death. Mrs. McCullough was a native of Green county, the daughter of Thomas and Matilda Bayse Nation. She had made her home in this city for the last 28 years. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Sybil Shields, Anderson, and four sons, Robert, Rex and James all of Bloomington and Jack McCullough of Monroe county. There are nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, David Nation and Conce Nation both of Greene county and five sisters, Mrs. Ogden Burch, Ellettsville; Mrs. Jacob Groomer, Tulip; Mrs. Ethel Bently, Defiance, Ohio; Mrs. Emma Burch, Marco; and Mrs. Veach Anderson of Sparland, Illinois. The body will remain at the Allen Funeral home where last rites will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Allen Chapel. Bloomington Herald Telephone 12/2/1948 |
