James D. RollisonRollison James D. ROLLISON was born November 4, 1842 in Morgan County, Ohio, and died November 20, 1906 at Lyons, aged sixty-four years and sixteen days. Interment at Castle Hill, November 22. He was married to Euphamy SPENCER, August 4, 1870 in Owen County, Indiana, she also being a native of Ohio and a childhood friend. To this union were born five children: one boy died in infancy, and the youngest daughter died last July. The last grief was keenly felt by the father during his last illness. His wife was buried in January 1889, but he kept his children together until they all had homes of their own, then he made his home with them. He was living with his son in Illinois when he was taken with his last illness and concluded to come back to his old home. He had been a faithful member of the Christian church for over forty years and was always a faithful Christian, never known to take an unfair advantage of his fellowmen in business transactions, was always gentle and kind and no one ever knew him to be angry with another. He had been a member of the church at Castle Hill for several years. He is survived by three children - Mark ROLLISON, of Springerton, Ill; Ross Martin, of Swinton, Mo.; and Cora MILLER, of Lyons, at whose home he was at the time of his death. There are also two brothers and one sister left - Charles ROLLISON, of Missouri; Henry ROLLISON, of Texas; and Mrs. Rebecca THORN, of Elliston. Dec. 2, 1906.
