James L. Vandeventer, 58, Bloomfield dies Thursday, Nov. 1, at his residence.

Born Jan. 24, 1943 in Linton, he was the son of Lebert C. and Mary Lorriane (Fuller) Vandeventer.

He was a sales representative for MMI Products of Houston, Texas. He graduated from Indiana University. He was a member of Bloomfield Presbyterian Church. He was a country music entertainer.

Survivors include his wife Roberta R. (Hamiotn) Vandeventer; two sons and daughter-in-laws James Curtis and Mary Jane Vandeventer and Sean and Loria A. Vandevneter all of Bloomfield; one daughter Angie S. Vandeventeer of Indianapolis; his parents of Bloomfield; one sister Judith A. Correll of Odon; four brothers: Jerry W. Vandeventer and Ronald L. Vandeventer both of Bloomfield; Jerrill D. of Jasper; Marty D. Vandeventer of Sturgis, Mich. And four grandchildren: James Benjamin Vandeventer, Neal Luther Vandeventer, Zachary Garrett Vandeventrer and Megan Eliza Vandeventer all of Bloomfield.

Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at Jenkins Funeral Home with the Revs. Robert Lorimer and Erin Raper officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemtery.
