L & M High School Lyons It was formed from Lyons and Marco hence its name - L & M. The Lyons school that was built in 1908/9 at E. Broad & Delaware Sts. was destroyed by fire on 16 Jun 1957. The Students went to Newberry in 1957/8 and Marco in 1958/9 and the consolidation of of L & M was established in Nov. 1957 first classes were 1959/1960. Located half way in between Lyons and Marco.
