Veterans Monument
In early 1989 the monument to Greene county's veterans was erected on the courthouse lawn.
On 27 May 1989 at 11:00 a.m. there was a special Memorual Dedication Service held.
The monument was erected:
Dedicated to the Veterans of Greene County who served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States and in
honored memory of those he gave their lives in the service of their county.
Not in vain
did they serve . . .. . . but
for our freedom!
