1 Be it remembered that on the 22 day Sept. 1823 the honorable Thomas Bradford and Martin Wines esquires, Associate Judges, convened at the courthouse in Burlington and proceeded to their office duties of an Orphans Court.

On motion of Hugh T. Ross and the petition of the heirs of John Smith, dec'd signed by Ann M. M. Smith, Jacob Smith, Charles Bailey, John Smith Jr., Wm. Hodgen, Adam Smith & Joseph Kirkpatrick.

William Hodgen, administrator ordered to sell SE Qtr 25-16-7 lands sold at Vincennes entered in the name of Joseph Dixon and assigned by him to the said John Smith and Wm. Hodgen - 1/2 said section to be sold. Also N 1/2 30-6-7 to be sold.
2 23 Sept. On motion of Thomas Warnick, Clerk of Greene Co. Thomas Bradford appt. administrator of estate of Georden Phelps, lat of Greene Co., Frederick Shepherd and John Owen sec. dated 23 June 1821 and judges of Circuit court were Norman W. Pierce and John S. Buskirk.

12 24 Dec. 1821 Robert Anderson of Greene Co. had sold to Obediah Barker, of Greene Co. 220 acres, 1650 being the NE Qtr 36-6-5 and 60 being North of SE QTR 36-6-5. Witt: Gabriel Jones and Thos. Barker. Thomas Warwick Esq. and Augustine Passmore appt. commissioners to convey deed.
13 Robert Anderson of Greene Co. had sold 13 July 1822 35 acres to Thomas Barker, laying in NE corner of NW Qtr 31-4-6 and 17 Jan. 1822 sold to Thomas Barker 1/2 NW Qtr 31-6-4 to be divided by the North South line equally and said Barker to have choice of sides. Same commissioners to make deeds.
18 May term 1824. Ordered now that the proceedings of a special session of Probate Court held at Burlington on 11 Nov. 1822, it appearing at that time as there was no record book and the proceedings kept on loose paper, it is ordered these proceedings to be set forth in this record.
19 4 Oct 1822 Estate of John Slinkard insufficient to pay debts and to Maintain his children. It is ordered to sell such part of real estate as necessary. Sell W 1/2 31-6-5.
21 Goerge Anderson as administrator of Robert Anderson dec'd is his only heir. Said Robert had certificate of land purchased from U. S., that is not paid for and estate is insufficient to settle estate. To sell NE Qtr 10-6-5 Entered in the name of Thomas Barker and assigned by said Barker to Obediah T. Barker and by him to Robert Anderson.

26 2 July 1825, comes Peter Herrington administrator of Joseph Ingersull and presents inventory appraised by John Goldsbay, Moses Ritter and William Buckles 11 May 1825 and Witt. by Benson Jones, JP, includes patent of NE Qtr 18-6-5 160 acres signed 9 Aug. 1823 #967. Also a bond on Peter Herrington of said county for a deed in fee simple when condition of said bond is completed. dated 25 May 1821

Joseph Ingersull sold 80 acres to Edward Goldsby being W 1/2 Qtr 18-6-5 dtated 16 Nov. 1822, signed Joseph [X] Ingersull and witt: by John Goldsby. Mentions heirs of deceased but they were not named.
29 1 Oct. 1825. Judges are now Martin Wines and William B. Marrs, Esquires. James Brown Ray, acting Govenor of Indiana commissioned William B. Marrs as associate Judge for Greene co. dated at Indianapolis 5 Sept. 1825, William W. Wick, Secretary.
29 Peter Herrington had sold to Joseph Ingersol 100 acres - 63 being in fractional section 17-6-5 and 37 in fractional section 8-6-5 in 5 equal annual installments beginning 1 March 1822 and dated 5 May 1821. Witt: John Owen and John Jackson.
