Will of Alexander HunterWill Book 1 pg. 6 Filed January the 4th day 1841
In the name of God Amen. Know all men by these presents that I Alexander Hunter, being weak in body, but of sound mind and memory so make this my last will and testament. Item 1 - I do will and bequeath that after my death that my body to buried in a decent and respectable manner. Item 2 I do will and bequeath that all my personal property be by my execuctor inventoried and out of the _ that all my just debts be paid. Item 3 I do will and bequeath that Abner Goodwin be and he is hereby by me appointed my Executor to settle my business according to law and that my aforesaid Executor _ or _ my real estate by publice or private sale or combined being respnisble to my lawful heirs and wife for their lawful dower. Item 6 Ido will and bequeath that my wife have the use and benefit of all my personal property after the payment of my debts aforesaid and the rents and profits of my said estate. to be _ or _ as a aforesaid during her widowhood. and that my executor have the esucation of my children. Signed and acknowledged in the presence of us this 25th of Septemebr 1840.
John Cole State of Indiana Greene County ss} This day personally appeared before me the undersigned _ _ in and for said County Alexander of the _ and of the County and State aforesaid and acknoweledged that signing and sealing of __ ___ ___ to be his last will and Testament. This 25th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.

Hunter personally appeared before me Samuel R. Cavins Clerk of the Probate Court of said County and after being by me duly sworn according to law despose and says " We saw Alexander Hunter sign, seal and declare the within writing to be his last will and testament and the he was at the time of its execution of sound mind and memory and that we signed out names thereto as subscribing witnessess in the presence of said testator and of each other and at his bequest. So help us God.
Subscribe and sworn to this 4th day of January 1841.
