Will of Henry GreenBk. 1 page 21-22 Filed 1 Mar 1844 Be it remembered that on the first day of March A. D. 1844 John B. Irving filed the following will, with proofs and examinations thereon towit: State of Indiana reene county SS} Know all men that I henry Greene of the county of Green aforesaid being sick and aged now believe near my _tion and knowing that death is certain yet possessing my mind in full vigor do make ordain and establish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will and testaments by me made and subscribed in manner following. And first I do give and grant and bequeath to Lewis C. Green is in fact son my brother Samuel Green _ lot in the town of Fort Pickering in State of Tennesse without the appurtenances thereunto belonging and hereby _ upon my executor to make him the _ Lewis C. Green when he arrives of full age all such _ deeds of conveyances and _ght or could do __ alive to act in that behalf for the purpose of _ling the fee simple thereof in the said Lewis C. Green. 2nd. And in the 2nd place I do desire my executor herein after appointed to adjust and liquidate in the best manner profitable _ the Edwardsport Steam Company all and singular my business with sd. company and settle the same and whensoever after the said settlement with said company my sd executor can do so I wish him to sell and convey my interest whether real or personal - thence _ uponm such terms as may seem just and peoper and whenever he receives the proceedes therof to divide the same equally amongest all my brother and sisters children that is to say _ to each of sd brothers and share to be divided equally betweenm my sisters children jointly. 3rd. And Thirdly I do will that all and _ the _ and _ of my property be the source real or personal be by me sd executor _ money and that after all my just debts and legal liablities be paid by him that the same be also divided in like manner as in herein prescribed in the 2nd item of this will. 4th. And I do hereby ordain and appoint my firend John Irving my executor of this my last will and testamnet that he is more _ with my worldy affairs than any other person and also fully _ _ing in his integrity and fidelity. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 27th of February 1844. Carson Be it remembered that on the first day of March A.D. 1844 before me Samuel R> Cavins clerk of the Probate Court of said county _ -ally came Hugh L. Livingston and Thomas H. Carson and who after being by me duly sworn according to law despose and say they saw Henry Green sign seal publish and declare a writing on the 27th day of February A.D. 1844 purporting to be his last will and testament that we signed our names to said will as subscribing witnessess in the presence of each other and in the presence of the said Henry Green at his request that the said testator (Henry Green) was of full age to devise his property and of sound min and memory ath the time of his _ing and signing his said will and not under coersion or restraint and that of his own free and voluntary will and _ he signed said will and that we are of lawfull age and in no wise interested in the good, chattels rights to credits, moeny, _ either real or personal of the said Henry Green - and futrther we say not. In testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand & seal of the Circuit Court of said County adopted and used as the seal of the Probate court of said county at office Bloomfiedl March the first day A.D. 1844.T.
