Will of John B. Kelshaw



Will Bk. 1 pg. 5-6

Be it remembered that to the tenth day of May 1839 Elizabeth Keshaw Executrix of the lat Will and Testament of John B. Kelshaw filed the flollowing Will to be recorded here which will read in the words tro wit.

"I John B. Kelshaw of Highland Township in the County of Green and State of Indiana being weak and low in body but of sound mind and memory do hereby make constitute and ordain this that here follow as my last will and Testament To wit: that when I depart this life that my body be decently buried.

3nd that there be enough of my presonal goods and shattles sold to pay all my just debts.

3rd I hereby will and bequeath to Elizabeth my dear and weill beloved wife all of my personal estate that remains after the payment of all lawful _ds against my said estate during her widowhhod so that she may the better keep together maintain and esducate my dear and well beloved children and that she have all the rents issues and profits of my farm during her widowhood but in case she should marry then she is to be _ _ according to law.

It is my further will that there be a true Inventory made of all my personal estate according to law and that the same be __ But my said wife is not cause to sell any of my personal estate provoded she can pay my jsut debts without

4th I do hereby appoint and ordain the said Elizabeth my with the sole executrix of this my last will and Testament during her widowhood.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the twenty fifth day of December in the year of ou Lord eighteen hundred and thrity six.

State of Indiana County of Greene} Be it rememebred that on the tenth day of May in the year eighteen hundred and thirty nine that Amos Owen Isabe B. Owen personally appeared before me Samuel R. Cavins, Clerk of the Probate Court in and for said County who after being by me duly sworn according to law depsoe and says "we saw John B. Kelshaw sign seal Publish and declared the withing writing to be his last will and Testament and that we believe he was at the time of it execution of sound mond and memory and that we signed our names thereto as subscribing withesses in the presnece of said Testator and of each other and at his request. So Help us God.
