Will of Jonathan Osborn

I Jonathon Osborn of Greene county Indiana do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time herefore made.

First that my debts be paid. I direct that all my goods chattels money and effects and a certain tract of land towit being the northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of fractional section twelve in township eight NOrth of range five West shall be and the absolute property of my wife excepting, one dollar to my daughter Jane and one dollar to my daughter Ann and one dollar to my son Joseph and one dollar to my daughter Catherine and one dollar to my daughter Palina and one dollar to my daughter Rachel and one dollar to my son Jonothan. I also direct that the _ of _ other monies and affects with the above described _ of _ land _ such several sums of moneys as here _ specifically bequeathed to my children shall be and remain the absolute property of my beloved wife is she shall be living at the time of my decease and I hereby make and ordain my worthy esteemed friend Joseph S. Osborn executor of this my last will and testament.

In witness where of I Jonathan Osborn the testator have hereunbto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of July in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty-two.

Signed sealed published and ordained by the aove named Jonathan Osborn as his last will and testament in the presence of us who have here unto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other.

Be it remembered that on the 6 day of September A.D. 1842 personally appeared before me Samuel R. Cavins clerk of the probate Court of said county Ira Danley and Joseph S. Osborn who being by me duly sworn desposes and say: "We saw Jonathan Osborn sigh seal published and declare the above and foregoing writing to be his last will and testament and that we beleve he was at the time of its execution of sound, mind and memory and tyhat we subscribed our names thereto as subscribing witnesses in the presence of the said testator and each other. So help us God.

Cavins clerk of the probate court of said county James C. Plume and James SParks who after being by me duly sown desposes and say that Jonathan Osborn sign seal publish and declare the within and foregoing writing to be his last will and testament and that we believe he was at the time of its execution of sound mind and memory and that we subscribed our named thereto as subscribing witnesses in the presence fo the said testator and each other. So help me God.
