Will of OLIVER ROGERS


Bk. 2 page. 396-7 FEBRUARY 7TH, 1878

In the name of the Benevolent Father of All, I Oliver ROGERS of the county of Greene and State of Indiana make and publish this my last will.

I give, devise, and bequeath my estate and property, real and personal as follows towit.

1st I give and bequeath to my eldest son George W. the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00).

2nd I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Jane Five Dollars ($5.00).

3rd I give and bequeath to my son William B. Five Dollars ($5.00).

4th I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary L. Five Dollars ($5.00)

5th I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha A. Five Dollars ($5.00).

6th I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Five Dollars ($5.00).

7th I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza M. Five Dollars ($5.00).

8th I give and bequeath to my son David J. Five Dollars ($5.00).

9th I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha ROGERS the residue of all my estate both personal and real after all just debts shall have been paid, subject to a division among the aforesaid heirs at her death in accordance with their obedience to her as she shall deem proper.

10th I appoint Martha ROGERS, my wife, executrix of the foregoing will with the request that my son George W. assist her in her duties as Executrix.

In witness thereof I have signed and stated this instrument and published and declared this instrument as my will at home in the County of Greene and the State of Indiana on the eight day of January AD One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Eight.

The said Oliver ROGERS at his residence in the aforesaid county and State on the 8th day of January AD 1878 signed and stated this instrument and published and declared the same as and for his last will and we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses.
