Will of Thomas Edington

Will filed March 23 1874 -

In the name of the benevolent father of all I Thomas Edington of Greene county and state of Indiana do make and publish this my last will and testament.

I give and devise to my beloved wife Ursula E. Edington in lieu of her interest in my estate all my property real and personal so long as she remains my widow on the following conditions. That she pay all my just debts and give each of my sons one horse bridle and saddle when they become twenty years of age providing each sons stays with her until the become twenty years of age. Also pay my daughters one bed and bedding and one buero when they become eighteen years of age. If my wife remarries, then she is to have in lieu of her dowery the one third of all the property both real and personal and the balance equally divided between my children, but if she dies my widow I want a reasonable allowance made for the support of my youngest children until they become sixteen years of age then to make an equal divide between all my children. I do hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife guardian of my children until the said children arrives at the age of twenty-one years. My wife is hereby enjoined to give my children a common education and to rear them in habits of industry and __iculate upon them as far as may be christain faith and charity.

I do hereby revoke all former wills made by me. In testimony hereof I have set my hand and seal this 8th day of Septmeber in the year 1870.
