Will of Margaret Williams



Bk. 5 pg. 149-50

I, Margaret Williams, at this time a resident of Taylor Township, Greene County, in the State of Indiana, and being of sound and disposing mind and mamory, do makre, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revovking all former wills by me made.

Item 1 - I order and direct that my executor herein after anmed pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and expenses of last sickness and cost of adinministration

Item 2 - I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary F. Grove, the sum of one hundred /$100.00/ dollars

Item 3 - I give and bequeath to my daughter, Martha A. Edington the sum of one [sic hundred] /$100.00/ dollars

Item 4 - I give and bequeath to my daughter, Ella S. Hasler, the sum of one hundred /$100.00/ dollars

Item 5 - I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah A. Geddes the sum of one hundred twenty five /$125.00/ dollars

Item 6 - I give, devise, bequeath to my son Noah T. Williams all of the real estate owned by me at the time of my death where ever the same be located.

Item 7 - All the residue of my personal property after the payment in full of the first five items set out above, I give and bequeath equally to my five children named above, share and share alike.

Item 8 - In explanation of the Item five where I have given one of my daughters $25.00 more than the other daughters, will say that prior to making this will I gave each of the three other daughter $25.00 apiece and Sarah A. Geddes had not recieved the same amount and the additional $25 as given her to make all share alike.

Item 9 - I hereby constitute and appoint my son Noah T. Williams as executor of this my last will and testament.

Be it remembered, that on the 31" day of July 1922. One of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last will and testament of Margaret Williams late of said county, deceased, dies [sic died] July 22, 1922, before Meredith G. Messick, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Greene County, In the State of Indiana, and bing duly sworn by the Clerk of cais court, upon his oath declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That opn the 26" day of April 1913 he saw the said Margaret Williams sign her name to said instrument in writing as and for her last will and testament, and that this deponent at the same time heard the said Margaret Williams declare the said instrument in writing to be her last will and testament, and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time at the rewuest [sic request] of said Margaret Williams and with his [sic her]consent asttested and subscribed by the said Margaret Williams [sic Homner Lowder] in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Margaret Williams was at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age /that is, more than twnety one years of age/, and of sound and disposing mind and memery, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and that deponent and Carl Lowder were the subscribing witrnesses to said will.

Messick, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Greene County, Indiana do hereby certify that the within annexed will and testament of Margaret Williams has been duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Homer Lowder, one of the subscribing witnesses there to, that a complete record of said will, and of the testimony of the said Homer Lowder in proof thereof has been by me duly recorded in Book 5 at page 149 of the Rocord of Wills of said county. In attestation whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said court at Bloomfield, this 31" day of July 1922
