The Last Will and Testament of George H. Marquart of the Precinct of Mt. Carmel in the county of Wabash and State of
Illinois made and published the eighteenth day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand and nine hundred
forty-one.
In the Name of God, Amen
I, George H. Marquart of the Precinct of Mr. Carmel in the County of Wabash and State of Illinois of the age of 77 years,
and being of sound mind and memory do hereby make, publish and declare this my LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT in manner following,
that is to say:
FIRST: - - It is my will, that my funeral expenses and my just debts be fully paid.
SECOND: - - I give and devise to my daughter, May Walton, a life estate or life interest in and to the following
described real estate to-wit: Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twenty-nine (29),
Township One (1) South, Range Thirteen (13) West of the Second Principal Meridan, situated in the County of Wabash and
State of Illinois, she to have the right to the possession use and income from the saind lands during her natural life.
THIRD: - - I divise to my daughter, Eva Schrader, the following described real estate to-wit: Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twenty-Nine (29), Township One (1) South, Range Thirteen (13) West of the
Second Principal Meridan, situated in the County of Wabash and State of Illinois, subject however to the life estate
provided for in Clause SECOND of this my will and also subject to the provision I make with reference to the placing of
tombstone in this clause. I also devise to my said daughter, Eva Schrader the following described real estate to-wit:
The East half (E 1/2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township One (1) South Range Thirteen
(13) West, of the Second Principal Merdian, Wabash County, Illinois; also Ten (1) acres off the entire west side of the
Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 28, Township One (1), South, Range Thirteen (12)
West of the Second Principal Meridian, Wabash County, Illinois. Subject to the following provisions: In the event that I
have not in my life time placed a double tombstone at the graves of my daughter, Carrie Johnson and her husband John
Johnson and a double tombstone at the graves of my wife, for my deceased wife, and myself I direct that my said daughter
Eva Schrader shall place the tombstone at the graves above designated which stones shall be of the approximate cost of
$120.00 each and the placing of such stones shall be a charge on the land which I have above devised to my said daughter,
Eva Schrader and the placing of the same shall be a lien on the said lands.
FOURTH: - - I devise to my daughter May Walton, the following described premsises to-wit: The South half (S 1/2) of the
Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section Fourteen (14), Township One (1) South, Range Fourteen (14) West of the Second
Principal Meridan, Wabash County, Illinois.
Fifth: - - I bequeath the sum of Five ($5.00) dollars to each of the hereinafter named grandchildren, Ervin Marquart,
Gideon Marquart, Doris Marquart, June Marquart, Glen Johnson, and Elmer Johnson, Charles Marquart. - - -
Sixth: - - I bequeath to my said daughter, Eva Schrader my household goods, personal effects and any farm tools I may
own at the time of my death.
Seventh: - - I devise and bequeath the residue and remainder of the property which I may own at the time of my death to
my said two daughters Eva Schrader and May Walton, they to share equally in such money and other property which I may own
at the time of my death.
Eighth: - - In the event that any one or more of the above named parties who desire to contest any of the provisions of
this my will I do hereby direct that the provisions, devises or bequeaths that I have herein made and provided for such
persons who proceed to question the provisions of the said will are automatically revoked and I desire that they shall
not receive any of my property.
LASTLY: - - I hereby nominate and appoint my two daughters, Eva Schrader and May Walton, executors, and I desire that
they shall act as such executors without being required to give bond or surity [surety] of any kind to be the Executors
of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the 18th day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand
Nine hundred Forty-one.

The above instrument, consisting of one double sheets, was now here subscribed by George H. Marquart the Testator, in the
presence of each of us; and was at the same time declared by him to be his Last Will and Testament, and we at his request
sign out names hereto in his presence as attesting witnessess.

State of Indiana Greene County ss} On this 29th day of Aug. 1947 in open court in Greene Curcit [Circuit] Court state
of Indiana, Bert Miller a resident of Greene Co., Indiana, and being duly sworn on his oath testified to the fact that all
of the witnessess to reh [the] will of George H. Marquart deceased are as follows: -

That said witnesses are not residents of the state of Indiana, and their whereabouts are to this affiant unknown; That
said witnesses are the subscribing witnessess to the annexed instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of
George H. Marquart deceased, late of Greene Co. Indiana, and who departed this life under date of Aug. 18, 1947.
Bert Miller, now being in open court and duly sweorn to testify to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth
concerning the execution of the last will and testament of George H. Marquart deceased and his oath as aforesdaid testified
as follows to-wit: -
That the signature of George H. Marquart is true and correct, and the signature of the said decendent; that he is an
employee of the Peoples Trust Co. bank at Linton, Indiana, and is familiar with the siignature of said George H. Marquart
he having been a customer of said bank. That on the 18th day of Sept. 1941 said George H. Marquart was of full age and of
age to devise and bequeath his property and was of sound and disposing memory and was not under coercion or restraint of
any person whomsoever to his knowledge and further affiant saith not.
